Aberdeen Alarm Company

Overview

Aberdeen Alarm Company is a leading provider of fire and security systems, founded in 2007. With offices across Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness and Edinburgh, the business has grown to employ more than 50 people, delivering design, installation and maintenance services across a wide range of integrated security solutions.

Having built a strong regional presence and reputation, the shareholders made the decision to explore a strategic partnership to support the next phase of growth, ultimately partnering with ENTRO Service Group as it entered the UK market. KBS Corporate led the transaction, with K3 Law advising on the legal process through to completion.

Challenge

For the founders, the transaction was not simply about achieving a sale, but about securing the long-term future of the business while preserving its identity and culture.

There was a clear focus on finding the right partner – one that could support growth while maintaining continuity across the business.

We were looking for a partner who understands our market and values long-term relationships.

Alongside this, the process required careful management to ensure a smooth transaction, balancing commercial objectives with the need for clarity, efficiency and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

Solution

K3 Law worked alongside the wider advisory team to lead the legal aspects of the transaction, supporting the shareholders throughout the process and ensuring the partnership was structured to meet both immediate and long-term objectives.

From initial negotiations through to completion, the team provided clear, commercially focused advice, managing due diligence and maintaining momentum across the deal. Their approach ensured that the interests of the founders were protected, while enabling a collaborative partnership structure to be agreed.

The client highlighted the value of this approach, noting that the team was:

Consistently helpful, pragmatic and responsive with everything handled efficiently and with real stewardship on the process.

Outcome

The transaction completed successfully, with AAC entering into a strategic partnership with ENTRO Service Group.

The deal secures continuity for the founders and the wider business, with AAC retaining its brand, leadership and operational responsibility, while benefiting from the support and scale of a wider European group. The partnership also creates a strong platform for future growth across the UK market.

Reflecting on the experience, the founders concluded:

You won’t find better, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Underlining both the outcome achieved and the quality of support throughout the process.
