K3 Law advises ADNS on Investment from Owlis

K3 Law has advised the shareholders of AD Network Solutions Group (ADNS) on securing investment from Owlis, a newly launched technology platform backed by private equity firm Ansor.

Based in Middlesbrough, ADNS is a managed IT services provider delivering IT support, communications, network infrastructure and security solutions to organisations across the UK. Since its formation in 2011, the business has built a strong reputation for technical expertise, customer service and sustained growth, while also developing a specialist education division focused on safeguarding and classroom connectivity.

The investment sees ADNS become one of the founding businesses within Owlis, a technology group established to bring together high-quality regional IT service providers under a collaborative growth platform.

Led by Jamie Allinson and John Lupton, ADNS joins the group alongside Cube 6, creating a platform with the scale, expertise and resources to support future expansion while maintaining the strengths and identity of each individual business.

A statement from Owlis announcing the launch of the platform said:

“This marks the beginning of an ambitious buy-and-build journey focused on delivering best-in-class IT services, digital transformation and cloud solutions to businesses across the UK.”

The transaction reflects continued investment within the managed services sector, where private equity-backed platforms are seeking to partner with established regional providers that have strong customer relationships, specialist expertise and attractive growth prospects.

K3 Law advised the shareholders throughout the investment process, providing legal support from negotiation through to completion and helping secure an outcome that supports the next stage of growth for the business.
