K3 Law advises Micropress on acquisition of MM Media
K3 Law has advised Micropress on its acquisition of MM Media, the publisher of Machinery Market magazine, strengthening its position within the specialist publishing sector and securing the future of one of the UK’s longest-established manufacturing publications.
Founded in 1879, Machinery Market is one of the manufacturing industry’s most recognised titles, serving engineering and industrial audiences for more than 146 years. Under the ownership of MM Media, the publication has built a loyal readership through its magazine, website and digital channels, becoming a trusted source of industry news and insight.
The acquisition sees Machinery Market join Micropress’ Countrywide Publications division, which publishes a range of specialist titles across the agricultural, forestry, leisure and tourism sectors. The transaction expands Micropress’ portfolio while providing Machinery Market with access to additional publishing expertise, resources and opportunities for future development.
The acquisition reflects Micropress’ continued commitment to investing in high-quality specialist publications with established audiences and strong market positions.
In a statement announcing the transaction, MM Media’s shareholders commented:
“Micropress offers many synergies which can only enhance the Machinery Market brand and scale its offering to the UK and international manufacturing and engineering sectors.”
The shareholders added:
“It will be business as usual moving forward. The current directors and staff will remain in place under the Countrywide Publications banner, continuing to manage the magazine, its websites and social media channels.”
K3 Law advised Micropress throughout the acquisition process, providing legal support from negotiation through to completion and helping deliver a transaction that aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
