K3 Law advises Westica Communications on sale to Serbus Group

K3 Law has provided legal advice to Westica Communications on its sale to private equity-backed Serbus Group, supporting the business as it enters its next phase of growth.

The transaction was advised by Tom Eatough, Associate Director at KBS Corporate, with K3 Law providing legal services to Westica throughout the deal.

Supporting Westica through the transaction

Founded in 1994 and based in Glasgow, Westica has more than 30 years of experience in secure radio network communications.

The company designs, deploys and supports microwave and UHF/VHF radio networks, critical communications systems, cyber-secure networking and infrastructure solutions.

Westica has established a strong reputation as a provider of wireless communications, critical network infrastructure and secure connectivity solutions, supporting organisations across sectors including CNI, utilities, blue-light services, government, transport, oil and gas, and enterprise.

K3 Law worked alongside Westica and its wider advisory team to provide legal support through to completion of the sale to Hereford-based Serbus Group.

Building on Westica’s success

Serbus aims to become a UK market leader in B2B critical network and ICT infrastructure managed services within the CNI sector. Westica directors Stevie Dynes and Andy Hunwicks will remain with the business as Serbus expands its specialist wireless technology capabilities and national footprint.

Serbus is backed by private equity buy-and-build specialist Aliter Capital, which is focused on further acquisitions alongside organic growth.
